Self-Driving cars scenario validation through Unity3D
Track: Industrial Track
Self-driving cars have gone from being flights of fancy to reality, however operating in the real world still has unpredictable challenges that these systems still need to overcome.
one of the safest ways to train and test out new algorithms for self-driving vehicles is to have them operates in synthetic environments.
In this session we take you through a live industry project where Unity3d is used to generate the various test cases where an autonomous vehicle is made to drive and whose performance can be analysed and reiterated, thereby providing platform where vehicle behaviour and performance can be rapidly tested.

My Time in Space
Track: Industrial Track
Working with an XR startup got me the chance to work for the Indian Space Research Organisation. From being given an open ended problem statement where from the scope to the execution everything was unknown, how we constructed a tool that is currently awaiting to be commercialised. My session will cover the journey from ideation, to the various problems we faced, and the final process of developing a solution of knowing "How does the terrain on XYZ planet look and feel like". The talk will focus on the importance of accurate realism as based on our work, as our work apparently will form the basis of virtualising celestial terrains and the respective designing changes we make in our engineering equipments.
The attendees will gain a knowledge of formulating a problem statement and going about creating a solution of out of nothing. We strongly that as technological developers, our job is to predict and materialise the future for businesses to make lives better.

Helping streamline Unity Developers’ workflow in AEC
Track: Industrial Track
Developers will get the understanding how to:
1. Solve the global problem of manual-remodeling though the automatic conversion of any 3D BIM model that has been exported into an IFC format.
2. Save hours of development by using BIM object data that is retained thought-out the conversion and linking it to a search function.
3. Free up time for more creativity by using the BIM Tools within Unity to automatically generate the material mapping, setting colliders and more…
Overview: Manually creating VR optimized twins of BIM architectural models is typically time-consuming, error-prone and repetitive. Tridify Convert (a market shaping online automated service) enables Unity developers to automatically convert 3D architectural BIM models to XR ready 3D files extremely fast, with no need for manual re-modeling and all with the BIM object data retained.
By downloading the Tridify BIM Tools, not only can Unity developers access several features which will speed up the delivery of projects, but they can connect all 3D objects to the original BIM data which will save time, money and human resources.

Mind's Eye - Interactive Mixed Reality tool for Aphantasia
Track: Industrial Track
Aphantasia is where a person is unable to experience their conscious thoughts or memories beyond their internal monologue. Person's Mind's eye which is the connecting portion of the right brain with the left brain doesn't work. Because of this, they can't connect imaginary with a respected word or we can say they cannot imagine the visual of that word in their mind. When someone says 'An Apple' they can't see the shape or feel the color of that if it is not in front of their eye. They can't recall the face, or they can't daydream a scenario.
It is a Mixed Reality tool which makes book interactive, so they can experience the writings with imagery. On wearing VR headset, you can see/read through video and on the trigger, you will get into an immersive VR world explaining that scenario.
The session is about new ways of interaction in Mixed Reality and exploring new dimension and possibilities of AR/VR.

Procedural Level Generation with Unity
Track: Games Track
Procedural Generation is often treated as the "Holy Grail" of content generation, and as such, is treated as an advanced topic. When done right, PCG can be a game designer's most useful tool. However, due to the somewhat complex and algorithmic nature of PCG, designers or artists often shy away from this very efficient and inexpensive method of content generation. This talk aims to introduce and explore PCG via one of its more forgiving approaches, the old-school, grid based approach. Most of the demo will be inside Unity and Visual Studio, and may include content imported from external applications such as Blender, Gimp and Krita.
